Valerie Carpender is a multi-media visual artist, also known for her work as a professional model.   Valerie shares her work as an artist and model at her website and blog www.valcarpender.com  She is a graduate of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a bacehelor degree in Visual Arts and Advertising Design.  She currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota and maintains an international client base both as a model and artist.  Her studio is located in the North Loop neighborhood of downtown Minneapolis.

American Artland is my t.v. show concept that originally transpired during my Sr. Semester at MCAD. Since then, it has been carefully coming to life with the first episode having been shot in my hometown, Minneapolis MN. The show is being pitched to major networks next spring with my hopes to bring an inspirational t.v. show to our youth. It is my goal to touch the lives of kids who need it (the kids on my show are from the Boys and Girls Club of America) and teach them make giant city murals along the way. In each episode, new lives are transformed and a new city gets beautified. (See website link above for video clip).
